Equine Assisted Therapy Classes

We take special needs children out of their traditional school environment and bring them into “Nature’s Classroom.” While working directly with our certified therapy horses, the students will experience a series of activities such as: grooming, training and basic horse care skills, walking exercises, including obstacle courses, and equine assisted speech, physical, art and reading therapies. Hearts & Hooves brings miniature horses to people who need therapeutic healing in hospitals, nursing homes, hospices and special schools - anywhere their warm touch is needed. We provide therapy and loving support to children and adults who have experienced emotional and physical abuse, severe illness and all forms of disability.

Hearts & Hooves harnesses the healing power of animal assisted therapy into wonderfully effective small packages: loveable, adorable, miniature horses, each with his own personality and style. We have six miniature therapy horses. Check out all their pictures.
